A nurse in Three Hills has been charged after allegations of sexual assault related to his medical duties.

Three Hills RCMP received a complaint about the medical profession in July, which launched an investigation into the alleged sexual assault. Police say the complainant reported the nurse “sexually assaulted her in exchange for prescription drugs and money”.

Mounties arrested Three Hills nurse Christopher Mah on November 19; he has since been charged with sexual assault, extortion and breach of trust. He was released from custody and will appear in the provincial court in Drumheller on December 9.
Mah’s name does not currently appear in a search of the College of Registered Nurses’ registry, nor does it appear in any of the college’s posted disciplinary decisions.
