Police in Central Alberta are investigating after a lady died Saturday afternoon whereas using a snowmobile close to Ponoka.
Rimbey RCMP stated officers had been referred to as to the Blindman River close to Township Highway 441 and Vary Highway 15, about 80 kilometers southwest of Edmonton, round 4:30 p.m.
A 25-year-old lady was snowmobiling on the river along with her partner and two mates when she hit a metal cable that spanned the river, police stated.
“Ponoka County Hearth and EMS supplied medical care and the driving force was airlifted by STARS to the College of Alberta Hospital the place she succumbed to her accidents,” police stated in a information launch.
The RCMP Main Crimes and Site visitors Analyst Unit is investigating the incident together with Rimbey RCMP.
