    Chestermere City Clerk Kim Wallace will stand trial in July over an allegation she assaulted a municipal employees member.

    Protection lawyer Alain Hepner appeared through video hyperlink within the Alberta Courtroom of Justice in Strathmore on Tuesday to schedule the trial for July 17.

    Wallace, 56, is one among three chief administrative officers for Chestermere. She was charged with assault in February.

    She issued an announcement final month indicating she would battle the allegation.
