Calgary police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a stolen black Jeep after a shooting in the northeast community of Castleridge.

Police were called to the 0 to 100 block of Castleridge Close NE at 7 a.m. Friday morning for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
According to investigators, the suspect confronted the victim at his home and fled in a stolen vehicle after shooting him.
Police say the suspect is a man between the ages of 20 and 30 who is 5′ 10″ tall with a slim build. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and a black baseball cap.
The vehicle he fled in was a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, black in color, with license plate BXY0501.
Police caution anyone who spots either the suspect or the vehicle not to approach them, but instead call 911 immediately.
