A large pet dog is missing after a home burglary in northwest Calgary earlier this week, Calgary police say.

King, a St. Bernard and mastiff mix, was reported missing after Monday’s break-in at the home.

Police were called to the home in Thorncliffe, on the 100 block of 59 Avenue NW, for reports of the burglary, which is believed to have occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday.
It is believed that one or more suspects forced their way into the home during that time, leading to King’s disappearance. Police said it is not known if any other items were stolen from the home.
King weighs about 75 pounds and has brown and red colored long fur.
Police asked those with information about the break-in, including CCTV or dashcam footage of the area, to call their non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
