Calgary police have arrested two males in reference to a nationwide drug trafficking operation.
The Calgary Police Service launched an investigation after receiving data final October about a person in Calgary believed to be concerned in a cross-Canada drug trafficking operation.
In line with a Thursday morning information launch, the CPS went undercover and labored with the Edmonton Police Service (EPS), Vancouver Police Division (VPD) and the US Drug Enforcement Administration.

Officers stated the investigation led to the interception of two automobiles touring from Calgary to Vancouver on February 17 and February 18.
Police stated they executed search warrants on the automobiles and located hidden compartments within the automobiles that contained greater than 90 kilograms of cocaine. Officers estimated the cocaine was price $5.4 million.
Police additionally executed search warrants at a residence within the 3800 block of Brentwood Street Northwest, together with a 3rd automobile related to the residence.
Throughout this search, officers seized a “small quantity” of cocaine and fentanyl, together with scales and packaging “in step with drug trafficking exercise.”

On March 16, one man was arrested in Calgary and one other in Surrey, BC, with the help of the VPD.
Steven Christopher Fera, 45, of Calgary, and Jason Jamie Chan, 38, of Surrey, have been charged with two counts every of possession of cocaine for the aim of trafficking. They’ll seem in courtroom on April 14.
