Trudeau says he’s heard from too many members of Canada’s Jewish neighborhood who’ve seen protests at synagogues and neighborhood centres and who now really feel unsafe.
He says no person may be detached to the struggling within the Gaza Strip amid the Israel-Hamas battle, and Canadians have a proper to protest and make their anger heard.
However Trudeau says he expects Canadians, together with police, to behave inside the legislation and ensure everybody can really feel protected.
On Tuesday, Quebec’s Superior Courtroom granted a Montreal synagogue and a Jewish group an injunction barring some pro-Palestinian protesters from coming inside 50 metres of their buildings.
A consultant for the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs stated the neighborhood sought the injunction after protesters surrounded a Jewish neighborhood centre on Monday, blocking folks inside and chanting antisemitic slogans.
