    Terrorism peace bond hearing set for Calgary teen in TikTok video case – Calgary

    A Calgary teenager arrested over alleged terrorism-related posts on TikTok and different social media websites is to face a two-day peace bond listening to in late October.

    The 16-year-old was the fourth Calgarian — and third teen — to be arrested after the RCMP started a nationwide safety investigation final June.

    Police allege the teenager was in a Snapchat group with a title that interprets to “Islamic State Troopers of Allah,” whose members shared photographs and movies associated to Islamic State recruiting and suicide bombers, in addition to footage of males being thrown off buildings to their deaths.

    A terrorism peace bond would impose restrictions on the boy’s freedoms and acknowledge there are affordable grounds to imagine he might commit a terrorism offence.

    The peace bond listening to is scheduled for Oct. 30 and 31.

    Zakarya Hussein, 20, pleaded responsible to facilitating terrorist exercise and is scheduled to be sentenced in April after he admitted to posting movies, photographs, messages and directions on make explosive units to numerous social media accounts.
