An 18-year-old from Airdrie, Alta., died after a crash Sunday.
In line with police, at 10 p.m. on Feb. 5, an Airdrie RCMP officer was touring north in a marked cruiser on QEII close to the East Lake Crescent exit when it was handed by a hatchback touring at a “excessive fee of pace .”
The hatchback took the exit onto Veterans Boulevard and the RCMP officer “activated their emergency tools,” RCMP stated.
Police stated the car went off the ramp and throughout the boulevard earlier than crashing and coming to relaxation on the north aspect of the highway.
RCMP, hearth and EMS eliminated and handled the male driver, who was the only occupant of the car. He suffered critical, life-threatening accidents and was transported by floor ambulance to Foothills Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.
Police stated pace is believed to be a contributing issue within the crash.
