Smith says if Trudeau must level to a remark she made three years in the past, meaning he can’t defend his present stance.
Trudeau turned down a name from some premiers to convene a primary ministers’ assembly on the federal levy.
Trudeau says such a gathering is pointless and that Smith seems to have flip-flopped on this system.
He pointed to a video of Smith talking concerning the potential advantages of carbon levy rebates in 2021.
Smith, together with the premiers of Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador, have written open letters with their requests on the carbon worth as they proceed to voice considerations over its affect on affordability.
