Lynx Air says buyer refunds are an enormous expense for the bancrupt firm because of an unco-operative contractor.
The ultra-low-cost service, which ceased operations and filed for creditor safety in late February, claims in courtroom filings that the agency contracted to deal with bookings, Texas-based Sabre Corp., has “refused to help” with passenger reimbursement.
Lynx says that leaves it no alternative however to work with its bank card processor to cope with chargebacks for would-be travellers whose flights have been cancelled.

Lynx says the chargeback course of is dear, leading to large charges for the airline which can be finally “to the detriment” of buyers hoping to recoup a few of their cash.
Sabre Corp. didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Lynx’s shutdown comes because the price range airways which have cropped up in recent times face ongoing monetary pressures amid trade consolidation following a journey trade implosion in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
