The Calgary Flames have acquired centre Riley Damiani from the Dallas Stars in trade for centre Emilio Pettersen.
As a part of the announcement Thursday night, the Flames stated Damiani has been assigned to their affiliate, the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers.
The 23-year-old had 23 factors (10 objectives, 13 assists) in 53 video games with the AHL’s Texas Stars this season. Damiani has seven video games of NHL expertise with one aim and one help again in 2021-22 with Dallas.

The five-foot-10, 175-pound Mississauga, Ont., native was drafted within the fifth spherical (137th general) of the 2018 NHL draft by the Stars.
Pettersen, in the meantime, had 30 factors (seven objectives, 23 assists) in 54 video games for the Wranglers this season. The 23-year-old has but to play within the NHL.
The five-foot-10, 170-pound Norwegian was drafted within the sixth spherical (167th general) within the 2018 NHL draft by Calgary.
