City of Calgary responds to provincial easing of some health measures

YYC TimesBy YYC TimesOctober 22, 2022No Comments1 Min Read

The Alberta government today announced a phased plan to relax some health measures that have been in place to slow the spread of COVID-19, contingent on hospitalization measures and other triggers.

We are currently working through the provincial public health phasing plans to understand their impact on our own operations, services and facilities. The City will work closely with the Province on what is needed at the local level, including continued enforcement of existing Public Health Orders. More information about specific programs and services will be updated on Calgary.ca/covid19 as it becomes available.

In the meantime, existing restrictions remain in effect, which can be found at www.alberta.ca/covid19. The City recognizes how difficult restrictions have been for individuals, families, businesses and the mental and economic health of our city and we thank all Calgarians and businesses for their efforts to follow Provincial health orders. We encourage Calgarians to continue to comply with all public health advisories as we work together to reduce the threat to our health and our health care system.
