After failing to make the Western Hockey League (WHL) playoffs the Calgary Hitmen are making sweeping modifications behind the bench.
The membership says the contracts of head coach Steve Hamilton, and assistant coaches Trent Cassan and Don MacGillivray won’t be renewed.
“Calgary Sports activities and Leisure Company want to thank Steve, Trent and Don for his or her contributions to the Calgary Hitmen and want them success sooner or later,” Hitmen Vice President and Governor Mike Moore supplied in a press release Wednesday afternoon.
The Hitmen had been mathematically eradicated from playoff competition in the course of the second final sport of the common season. They completed the 2023-24 marketing campaign with a 28-31-8-1 document, ninth within the Jap Convention.
