RCMP stated the tire deflation system deployed at 9:35 p.m. was meant for the rented 15-foot dice truck which was on the run after ramming a Beaumont RCMP automotive that had stopped on 50 Avenue in Beaumont to research the driving force, who was suspected within the theft of delivered packages.
The motive force reportedly rammed a police car and fled the scene.
The suspect’s rental car had been noticed at 50 Avenue and Freeway 814 in Beaumont travelling at a excessive charge of pace. Officers stayed with the spike belt when it was deployed and Gartner’s car hit it at 9:37 p.m., police stated.
