“Our fire personnel and the Calgary Fire Department responded to contain and extinguish the fire,” said a statement from the Calgary Airport Authority.

“We can confirm that all flight crew were safely evacuated, with no injuries reported.”

The fire started when the engines were started, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) said in a statement. The TSB said it was sending investigators to the scene to “gather information and assess the incident.”

There is no word on how many people were on board the plane when the fire broke out.

The plane is a three-engine model that has been used by Federal Express for decades.
