Investigators believe the same man is responsible for at least four sexual assaults in the last month that took place in the communities of Dalhousie and Ranchlands.

According to a news release by Calgary police Wednesday morning, officers are working hard to get a detailed description of the suspect and are looking for insight from the community about these attacks.

The first of the four incidents took place at around 23:00 on 6 November. The victim got off a city bus near the intersection of Ranchlands Boulevard and Ranchero Rise, on her way home, police said.

An unknown man grabbed her from behind and groped her sexually without her consent.

About 45 minutes later, officers were called to the Dalhousie LRT station where another victim said she was sexually touched without consent by an unknown man while walking near the station.

“Sexual touch without consent is sexual assault. It has a lasting impact on victims and can leave them feeling unsafe and vulnerable in public for many years after the incident,” Calgary police said in the release.

Several days later, on Nov. 19 at approximately 12:45 a.m., a woman was grabbed from behind and sexually touched without consent by an unknown man while walking eastbound in the 0 to 100 block of Dalton Drive NW.

According to police, officers were called to the Dalhousie LRT station again later that morning around 05:30 where the fourth victim reported being approached by an unknown man while waiting for a bus in the bus shelter. The man grabbed her and groped her sexually without her consent.

Investigators encourage anyone with information about these events or the identity of the suspect to contact police at the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or calgarycrimestoppers.org.
