A put up to social media exhibits a screenshot of a textual content message apparently advising a person of a visitors ticket.
Rip-off Alert The Metropolis of Calgary & Calgary Parking don’t use textual content messages for ticket notifications or cost requests. Don’t reply to rip-off texts or click on entry hyperlinks. The message prompts the person to entry the ‘self-serve portal’ and resolve the difficulty by clicking a hyperlink.
Town and it’s parking company say textual content messages aren’t used for ticket notifications or cost requests and advise not responding or clicking the hyperlink when you obtain a message.
People who’ve obtained rip-off texts are inspired to name the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 to report it.
