Calgary police say they’re investigating after an indication in help of the marketing campaign to recall Mayor Jyoti Gondek was vandalized.
A video circulating on X, previously Twitter, reveals two girls portray an indication with the phrases “Respect Gondek” the place it beforehand stated “Recall Gondek,” and hearts.

In a press release to CityNews, police say officers have been referred to as to Parkdale Boulevard NW and 30 Avenue NW round 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, for stories of property injury to a billboard on a grassy median.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) says the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and anybody with info on the matter is inspired to name police.
A marketing campaign was began by native enterprise proprietor Landon Johnston in late January to recall Mayor Jyoti Gondek, who was elected in 2021.
Laws was up to date by the Alberta authorities in 2022 to permit eligible voters to file petitions to recall politicians, together with mayors and municipal councillors.
Greater than 500,000 handwritten signatures should be collected for the initiative to achieve success.
The deadline to gather the required variety of signatures is April 4.
