A convicted assassin who overpowered a guard whereas on a day outing in Alberta and took hostages throughout a nine-day manhunt greater than a decade in the past has been denied parole.
William Bicknell, who’s now 55, appeared at a parole listening to at an Ontario jail.
He had already been serving time within the dying of a B.C. lady when he escaped in 2011 and was subsequently captured by police in a shootout that despatched him to hospital.
Bicknell entered responsible pleas for his hostage taking and escape and was given a second life sentence.
Bicknell was shot within the head through the seize and instructed the listening to he has no reminiscence of his escape from the regulation.
The parole board agreed with Bicknell’s case administration workforce that he presents too nice a danger to the group presently to be launched.
