Eight individuals have been displaced after a basement fireplace within the northwest Calgary neighbourhood of Panorama Hills on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to a basement fireplace in a house within the space of Panorama Hills Northwest at round 2:15 p.m. Based on the Calgary Fireplace Division, the caller stated there have been presumably two adults and two kids trapped within the basement. Firefighters did a fast knockdown of the fireplace and located no person inside.
The CFD stated no accidents have been reported due to the fireplace.
Fireplace injury to the basement was vital, and there was smoke injury to the remainder of the home. CFD fireplace investigators are trying into the origin and reason for the fireplace, and it’s unknown if there have been working smoke alarms within the dwelling on the time.
