RCMP responding to plane crash near Fort Smith, N.W.T.

Police within the Northwest Territories say they’re helping after a airplane crashed close to Fort Smith.

RCMP say Transport Canada and search-and-rescue groups have been introduced in.

Police didn’t say whether or not anybody was injured.

The Transportation Security Board of Canada says it has been notified of the crash and is assessing the state of affairs.

In a social media put up, the city of Fort Smith requested residents to avoid the place it’s believed the airplane crashed to permit for emergency responders to get by way of.

Fort Smith is about 740 kilometres south of Yellowknife close to the Northwest Territories-Alberta boundary.
