Calgary, AB – Calgary police are actively searching for a driver who fled the scene of a three-vehicle crash in the city’s northeast on Tuesday afternoon. Investigators believe the missing driver may be injured.
The collision occurred shortly before 2 p.m. at the intersection of 16 Avenue and 36 Street N.E. According to police reports, three vehicles were involved in the incident.
While two of the drivers involved remained at the scene and were assessed by paramedics, the third driver left before emergency crews arrived. The extent of any injuries sustained by the two drivers who remained has not been publicly disclosed.
The Calgary Police Service’s traffic unit is investigating the circumstances that led to the crash. As of now, no details about the fleeing driver or their vehicle have been released.
